The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji as its consensus candidate for the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The decision was reached on Monday during a high-level party meeting held in Ado-Ekiti, attended by key stakeholders across the state.

Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele moved the motion for Oyebanji’s adoption, which was seconded by Stephen Aribasoye, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

Party leaders described the governor’s endorsement as a recognition of his performance in office, unity of purpose within the APC in Ekiti, and a strategic step to consolidate ongoing developmental projects across the state.

The development effectively sets the tone for the APC’s campaign machinery ahead of the 2026 governorship race.
