The Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has suspended three of its officers over alleged acts of gross misconduct and insubordination.

The affected officers identified as Abu Taiwo, Akinsipe Victor, and Ekujumi Julius have also been declared wanted by the agency pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation into their alleged actions.

The State Commander of the Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, announced their suspension on Monday in Akure while parading four suspected criminals before journalists.

Adeleye said the decision to suspend the erring officers followed preliminary findings indicating that their conduct was inconsistent with the operational standards and ethical values of the Amotekun Corps.

He explained that the agency would not condone any form of indiscipline among its ranks, stressing that maintaining professionalism and public trust remains paramount in the corps’ operations across the state.

The Amotekun Commander also reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property in Ondo State, adding that the disciplinary action was aimed at strengthening accountability and integrity within the security network.

Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
