Tinubu Hails Shettima at 60, Calls Him “Trusted Partner” Whose Loyalty, Wisdom and Service Remain Invaluable to Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated Vice President Kashim Shettima as he clocks 60, describing him as a trusted ally and patriotic partner whose decades of service have been defined by commitment, sacrifice and dedication to Nigeria.

In a birthday message issued on Tuesday, September 1, Tinubu congratulated Shettima and extended his greetings to his wife, Nana, his children, family and political associates.

The President praised Shettima’s distinguished banking career and his record of public service, particularly his tenure as Governor of Borno State before becoming Vice President of Nigeria.

Tinubu said Shettima had demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and a strong commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians in both capacities.

He particularly commended the Vice President for his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), his support for the administration and his dedication to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

As Chairman of the National Economic Council, Tinubu said Shettima had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and promoting cooperation between the Federal Government and the sub-national governments.

The President also praised Shettima’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, saying his approach had contributed to strengthening good governance.

Describing Shettima as a trusted partner, Tinubu said his loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty had remained invaluable to the administration.

“I must thank Vice President Shettima for his steadfast support and partnership as we continue to join hands in delivering the promises of Renewed Hope to Nigerians,” Tinubu said.

The President expressed confidence that their partnership would continue to produce meaningful progress towards building what he described as the Nigeria of their dreams.

Tinubu concluded by praying that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen the Vice President, granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.
