The curfew imposed in Oyo town to facilitate the traditional rites of the Alaafin of Oyo-designate, Akeem Owoade, has been adjusted to accommodate Ramadan prayers.
The new curfew hours will start from 10pm and end at 4:30am.
This adjustment will enable Muslims in the community to observe their nighttime prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Alaafin-designate is set to begin his coronation rites on Friday night with certain enthronement rituals at the Baba Iyaji residence, where he will spend the night.
He will then proceed to Ona Isokun, Ilemole, Bara, and finally to the Koso chamber, accompanied by his chiefs and priests, as part of the traditional rituals leading up to his April 5 coronation.
