Afrobasket: Tinubu Lauds D’Tigress for Making Historic Final

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, for reaching the final of the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship, describing the feat as historic and inspiring.

In a statement released on Saturday, the President commended the team’s resilience, skill, and determination, which have once again placed Nigeria on the continental sports map.

Tinubu noted that D’Tigress’ performance reflects the indomitable spirit of Nigerian women and urged them to remain focused as they aim for their fourth consecutive Afrobasket title.

He assured the team of the nation’s unwavering support as they prepare for the final showdown.
