AFCON: Beautiful Scenes Ahead of Opening Match

Ahead of the opening match of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire on Saturday, beautiful, captivating images are beginning to flood the internet.

Reports have it that there has been heavy traffic in the city of Abidjan, as supporters of various participating teams have begun to troop into the venue of the Group A opening match between host country, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea Bissau.

Cote d’Ivoire is hosting the tournament for the first time since 1984.

The 34th edition of the AFCON, which will be played at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, will be officiated by the experienced 39-year-old Egyptian referee, Amin Omar.
