The newly appointed Acting Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, met with Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Gwabin Musa, and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, on Thursday.

This meeting comes less than 24 hours after President Bola Tinubu announced Oluyede’s appointment as Acting Chief of Army Staff, filling in for Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, who is currently undergoing treatment abroad.

As the Acting Chief of Army Staff, Oluyede’s meeting with Musa and Ribadu is seen as a strategic move to ensure a seamless transition and continuity in the nation’s security operations.

The meeting is expected to discuss key security issues and strategies to address the country’s challenges.

Oluyede’s appointment has generated interest, with many observing the dynamics between the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Defence Staff.

The outcome of this meeting is anticipated to have far-reaching implications for Nigeria’s security and defence sectors.
