BREAKING 🇳🇬🪨: Archaeologist Reports Discovery of Patterned Stone Pavement in Ile Ife Excavation

Gérard Chouin has reported the uncovering of an undocumented stone pavement featuring a distinct patterned arrangement during a small scale archaeological test excavation. The find was made inside a one by one metre test pit in Ile-Ife, carried out to examine a research hypothesis. The structure was not previously documented in the area and is now expected to add new detail to ongoing studies on ancient urban layout and material culture in Ile Ife.
