TROOPS NEUTRALISE TWO BANDITS, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLES IN KWARA–EKITI BORDER OPERATION

The Nigerian Army has announced another successful operation under its ongoing clearance missions across parts of Kwara and Kogi States, with troops of the 148 Battalion neutralising two armed bandits and recovering two brand-new AK-47 rifles.

According to military sources, the decisive operation was carried out along the Kwara–Ekiti border axis, effectively dismantling a notorious criminal hideout used by armed elements to terrorise nearby communities.

The Army described the development as part of sustained efforts to restore peace and ensure the safety of residents across the region.

Officials commended the gallantry and professionalism of the troops involved in the mission, urging residents to remain calm, vigilant, and continue providing credible information to support security operations.

The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property and pledged to maintain momentum in the ongoing offensive against banditry and other criminal activities in the North-Central region.
