Think Yoruba First has expressed profound gratitude to the Federal Government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the successful rescue of 39 pupils and seven teachers abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State.

In a press statement, TYF commended the Nigerian Armed Forces, the DSS, the Nigeria Police Force, and all security operatives involved in the mission for their resilience, courage, and professionalism. The organisation noted that the intelligence-driven efforts and tactical coordination ensured the safe rescue of the victims without the loss of any additional pupils or teachers.

TYF also acknowledged the collaboration between the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, and security agencies, whose collective efforts made the operation possible.

While celebrating the rescue, TYF reminded authorities that the tragic loss of lives during the incident must not be forgotten. The organisation called for strengthened security around schools, rural communities, and major transportation routes across Yorubaland and Nigeria.

TYF urged sustained investment in intelligence gathering, community-based security collaboration, and the protection of educational institutions to prevent future attacks.

The organisation congratulated the rescued victims and prayed for their complete recovery while extending condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. TYF also called for the prosecution of all those responsible for the heinous crimes.
