Afenifere, with technical support from the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, will on October 9–10, 2025, convene a landmark two-day Regional Stakeholders’ Dialogue in Akure, Ondo State.

Themed β€œStrengthening Democracy Through Dialogue: Assessing Progress, Charting the Future,” the event will bring together over 800 stakeholders from across the Southwest region for robust citizen–government engagement.

The dialogue, scheduled to hold at the International Conference Centre (The Dome), Akure, is designed to provide a structured platform for citizens of the Southwest to engage directly with Federal and State authorities on pressing national and regional issues.

Discussions will focus on fiscal reforms, economic development, job creation, security, infrastructure, and social development, with the ultimate goal of shaping sustainable policies that reflect the aspirations of the people.

The Summit is expected to attract key government officials, policymakers, traditional rulers, civil society representatives, youth leaders, and private sector stakeholders, fostering inclusive participation in governance and development planning.
