Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has been recognized as the top scorer in the Belgian Pro League for the 2024/25 season, netting 21 goals for KRC Genk.

The Yoruba-Nigerian forward’s impressive performance earned him the prestigious title, beating STVV forward Adriano Bertaccini who scored the same number of goals but fewer away goals.

Akorede celebrate this award with his Yoruba family.

Arokodare’s achievement is notable not only for his goal-scoring prowess but also for his recognition as the best African player in the Belgian top league, winning the Ebony Boot award.

This feat makes him the seventh Nigerian to claim the Ebony Shoe award and positions him as one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents.

The 24-year-old’s consistent performances throughout the season have been impressive, and his goals helped Genk top the regular season standings before their campaign stumbled in the championship playoffs.

Despite his team missing out on the league title and the Player of the Season award, Arokodare’s individual accolades are set to boost his reputation in the football world.
