Aremu Adeyemi shines at the All-Africa university games

Nigerian athlete, Aremu Faruk Adeyemi, a 400-level Computer Science student from the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has won the gold medal in the men’s 100m event at the ongoing All-Africa University Games.

Organized by the Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU), the games bring together top university athletes from across the continent.

Adeyemi’s impressive performance saw him overcome a challenging headwind of 1.8m/s, crossing the finish line in 10.70 seconds.

Notably, Adeyemi was the sole Nigerian representative in the final, showcasing his exceptional talent.

University of Ghana’s Kyeremateng Nathaniel and Mbila Moses secured silver and bronze medals, respectively, with times of 10.74s and 10.80s.
