Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has celebrated the victory of South African artiste, Tyla, at 66th Grammy Awards.

The ceremony, hosted by Trevor Noah, took place in Los Angeles, United States, on Sunday.

Tyla won the Best African Music Performance category, beating out fellow nominees including Davido himself, Burna Boy, Asake, and Ayra Starr.

Despite losing all three of his nominations that night, Davido took to his official social media page in the early hours of Monday to congratulate Tyla.

Davido described Tyla’s win as a major accomplishment for the entire African continent.

He wrote, “Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big one for Africa! Keep soaring! ⭐️.”
