President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the introduction of a Personal Income Tax Calculator to help Nigerians understand the impact of the new tax laws he recently signed, which will come into effect from January 2026.

According to the President, the reforms are designed to ease the burden on low-income earners and ensure fairness in the nation’s tax system.

The newly developed calculator, available at fiscalreforms.ng/index.php/pit-…, enables citizens to compare their estimated tax under the new regime with their current payments. It highlights the progressive nature of the reforms, their protection for low-income earners, and their simplified compliance framework.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace the reforms as part of his administration’s drive to deliver a transparent and equitable system.
