Video: Sanwo-Olu hosts Lagos Assembly Speaker, Principal Officers

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday, January 20, 2025, welcomed the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, and other principal officers to his office at Alausa, Ikeja.

The visit was a courtesy call before the weekly State Executive Council meeting.

According to a statement shared by Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos Governor, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr. #jidesanwoolu received the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly #lshaofficial, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda #mojisolalawal4u and the other Principal Officers of the House, on a Courtesy Visit, at his office, Alausa, Ikeja this morning.”

The Speaker was received by Governor Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.

The Governor then led the Speaker and her delegation to the Council Chamber, where they pledged to continue a harmonious work relationship between the two arms of government in Lagos State.

The principal officers who accompanied Speaker Meranda included the Deputy Speaker, Hon Mojeed Fatai (Ibeju-Lekki State Constituency, Majority Leader Hon. Temitope Adedeji (Ifako Ijaiye 1) , Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Richard Kasunmu (Ikeja 2), Chief Whip*: Hon. Sanni Babatunde (Kosofe 1), Deputy Chief Whip Hon. David Setonji (Badagry 2).
