Video: Benue crisis, a planned genocidal Invasion and land grabbing by herders – Tov Tiv

The Tov Tiv, James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, has described the crisis in Benue State as a well-planned, calculated, full-scale genocidal invasion and land grabbing by herder terrorists and bandits.

He made the statement during President Tinubu’s visit to Benue State to condole with the people over the mass killings.

The Tov Tiv said the crisis is not a case of herders-farmers clashes or communal clashes, but rather a deliberate attempt to wipe out the people and take over their land.

He said, “We have a great concern about the misinformation and misrepresentation of crisis happening in Benue state

“It is not herders-farmers clashes, not communal clashes

“This misinformation has led to suggestions such as remain tolerant, negotiate for peace, learn to deal with your neighbours ” he added

He noted that this crisis has been ongoing for decades and is worsening each year.

He said, “What we are dealing with in Benue is a well planned, calculated, full scale genocidal invasion and land grabbing by herder terrorist and bandits which has been on for decades and worsening every year.

“Wrong diagnosis will always lead to wrong treatment” he mentioned
