The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has temporarily suspended the issuance of new visas to Pakistani nationals, citing security concerns and a history of documentation fraud.

This move is seen as a response to various incidents involving Pakistani nationals, including begging, crime, and anti-UAE protests.

The UAE government’s decision is believed to be related to the second wave of COVID-19, although it is not explicitly stated

The suspension will not affect already issued visas, and it is unclear how many categories of visas will be impacted.

This development comes as a significant blow to Pakistani nationals who frequently travel to the UAE for business, tourism, and employment purposes.

The UAE has various visa categories, including business, tourist, transit, and student visas.

It is worth noting that the UAE has also suspended visa issuance to nationals of 11 other countries, including Turkey, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Kenya, and Afghanistan

The Pakistani government has taken notice of the UAE’s decision and is seeking official confirmation from the UAE authorities. In the meantime, Pakistani nationals are advised to check with the UAE embassy or consulate for the latest information on visa issuance.
