President Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at strengthening measures to identify, restrict, and deport noncitizens who express support for organizations designated as terrorist groups by the US government.

The order targets individuals who harbor hostile attitudes toward the US or its foundational principles and requires enhanced vetting processes for both incoming and existing visa holders.

The policy underscores the government’s responsibility to prevent foreign nationals from exploiting immigration laws for harmful purposes.

โ€œThe United States must ensure that admitted aliensโ€ฆ do not advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists and other threats to our national security,” the order states.

The order includes directives for enhanced vetting and screening, identification of unregistered illegal aliens, and civil fines and penalties.

The Secretary of Homeland Security will announce and publicize information about the legal obligation of all previously unregistered aliens to comply with US law.

This executive order is part of Trump’s broader effort to align immigration processes with national security priorities.

Critics have raised concerns about potential overreach, while proponents argue the measures are necessary to protect the US from foreign threats.
