A disturbing footage has emerged showing the moment a train collided with a car in the Iju-Fagba area of Lagos State.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has raised widespread concern and questions about road safety in the region.

According to eyewitnesses, the car involved in the collision was a Sienna, which was carrying bags of rice at the time of the incident.

Fortunately, there have been no reports confirming any casualties, although the full extent of the damage is still unclear.

This incident bears a disturbing resemblance to a similar accident that occurred in 2023.

In that incident, at least three people lost their lives, and several others were injured after a collision between a Lagos State staff bus and a commercial train on Agege Motor Road.

Investigations into that incident revealed that the crash was caused by the reckless actions of the BRT bus driver, who attempted to beat the train’s traffic signal.

This resulted in the moving train crashing into the bus, with devastating consequences.

The latest incident has raised concerns about the safety measures in place at rail crossings in Lagos State. Many have called for increased vigilance and stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
