Tobi Amusan Stuns World With Second Diamond League Victory

Nigerian-born world hurdles champion and record holder, Tobi Amusan, on Sunday, raised the bar with her wonderful victory in the 100-metres hurdles event of the 2023 Diamond League, holding at Silesia, Poland.

Amusan took the first position in a record time of 12.34 seconds to be crowned with the gold medal for her standout efforts.

Her record time equaled the meet record.

Impressively with this grand victory Amusan had recorded a back to back winning in the Diamond League, this year.

She won the league two weeks ago at Stockholm.

The dazed United States of America top athletes as Harrison and Ali Nia took the second and third, positions respectively.

The unstoppable 26-year-old, World Queen of hurdles now go all the way to Budapest, Hungary, to defend her coveted world title next month.

In her remarks, afterwards, high elated Amusan said: “one race at a time, my coach has always told me that, and I’m happy to have finished here with another season’s best and the meeting record.
