President Bola Tinubu’s Personal Assistant on Special Duties, Kamorudeen Yusuf, has awarded a scholarship to 16-year-old Sodiq Shoyode, who scored 360 in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Sodiq’s outstanding performance went viral on social media, earning him widespread praise.

The scholarship includes sponsorship for Sodiq’s university education and training at a top digital academy in Lagos, where he will acquire skills in Back End Software Development. Yusuf will also provide a laptop for Sodiq’s training.

Sodiq attributed his success to consistent study habits and practice tests. “I did a lot of practice tests and recorded my progress weekly to know the areas I needed to improve on,” he explained.

Sodiq expressed gratitude to his parents and benefactor, saying, “I appreciate my parents for their support and encouragement, most especially Mr. Kamorudeen Yusuf… I’m eternally grateful, sir.”

With this scholarship, Sodiq can pursue his dreams of studying Mechanical Engineering and becoming proficient in software development.
