President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed Deputy Comptroller-General Kemi Nanna Nandap as the new Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
Her appointment takes effective on March 1, 2024.
This follows the completion of the tenure of Caroline Wuraola Adepoju, whose term ends on February 29, 2024.
DCG Nandap, who previously served as Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing Migration Directorate of the service, steps into her new role with a wealth of experience and expertise in immigration and border management.
In a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, it was highlighted that President Tinubu expected the new Comptroller-General to continue and enhance on-going reforms within the service.
The President anticipated that Nandap would establish robust mechanisms for efficient and dedicated service delivery to Nigerians, while also prioritizing proactive and effective border security and migration management to strengthen the nation’s security.
