Think Yoruba First Organization has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on signing the Tax Reform Bills into law, describing the achievement as “a win worthy of legends” that cements Tinubu’s place in history.

This was contained in a statement signed the organisation’ Public Relation Officer, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, made available to The Yoruba Times.

“We hereby thank our Daddy, President Bola Tinubu for winning this battle of wits, resilience and ideology,” the organization stated.

“As Awoists, we are proud that one of us has aggressively stuck with the progressive ideals of Awoism as we seek to gradually restructure this Country along ethnolinguistics line.”

According to the organization, the tax reform is a significant step towards fighting poverty, particularly in its emphasis on not taxing low-income earners.

“Emphasis must be laid on the heavy burden lifted off the shoulders of low-income earners and making sure that poverty is not taxed; This is one of the most brilliant and wholistic ways to fight poverty,” the statement added.

Think Yoruba First also commended the chairman of the Tax Reform Committee, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, for his role in pushing the reforms through.

“Yorubas worldwide are proud of him also,” the organization noted.
