Suzuki said it is working on practical ways to mitigate the impact of high fuel prices on Nigerians.
Energy costs in Africaโs largest soared appreciably as the Federal Government completely removed subsidy on diesel and petrol recently.
The price of petrol surged by 215.95 percent in one year as that of diesel also increased by 2.60 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) price watch for July 2023.
The NBS showed that the average price of petrol per litre increased from N238.11, after the removal of subsidy to N600.35 in July.
On a month-on-month basis, it increased by 9.99 percent from N545.83 in June this year.

On the average, Suzuki models achieve an outstanding fuel consumption rate of 22 kilometers per litre, with tank capacities ranging from 28 to 45 litre.

As a testament to Suzukiโs impressive fuel efficiency, an experiment was conducted where four individuals embarked on a round trip from Lagos to Ibadan using only an estimated quarter tank of fuel. This experiment was meticulously documented in a video available on the companyโs official social media channels.
