Several Feared Dead as Armed Herders Attack Sai Community in Benue

Suspected armed herders have attacked Sai Community in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, leaving several persons feared dead and many others injured. The attackers stormed the community in large numbers, opened fire on residents, and set several houses ablaze, forcing villagers to flee.

Security personnel were mobilised to the area and engaged the attackers. Several injured victims were evacuated to nearby medical facilities. Nigerian Army troops have since intensified patrols around Sai and adjoining communities. The attack highlights the persistent security challenges in parts of Benue State.
