Seun Kuti, Damian Marley Set to Release Historic Single ‘Dey’

Seun Kuti, the youngest son of the legendary Afrobeats pioneer, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has announced the upcoming release of a highly anticipated single from his forthcoming album.

The single titled “Dey”, features Damian Marley, the son of reggae icon, Bob Marley and a four-time Grammy Award winner.

This historic collaboration marks the first time the Kutis and Marleys have joined forces on a musical project, making it a momentous occasion for music fans worldwide.

Seun Kuti’s Egypt 80 band will also feature on the track, adding their unique Afrobeat flavour to the mix.

The title “Dey”, has piqued the curiosity of fans who are eagerly awaiting the single’s release on June 26 across all streaming platforms.

Kuti promises that the fusion of Afrobeat and reggae styles will create an exciting and innovative sound that will surely delight listeners.

Seun Kuti expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that it’s a “truly special moment” for him and his family.

He encouraged fans to support the movement and check out the single when it dropped.

Kuti said: “I’m feeling very honoured to announce our first single, DEY, featuring a great brother, Damian Marley.

“For me, it’s a truly special moment. This is the first time the Kutis and the Marleys are collaborating on a musical effort record together.
