President Tinubu mourns renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his condolences over the passing of renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, who died at the age of 84.

Tinubu shared his sorrow with the Muslim Ummah, acknowledging the significant impact Sheikh Bello had on the community.

Tinubu on his X page said, β€œI share in the pain of the Muslim Ummah over the passing of the highly revered Islamic Scholar Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello at the age of 84,

β€œSheikh Muyideen Bello in his lifetime was a cerebral scholar who lived to serve the Almighty Allah and humanity with his unusual insight into the Holy Quran, depth of wisdom, and the gift of interpretation, which provided peace, comfort, and guidance for many.

β€œI pray that Almighty Allah will receive the soul of the departed cleric and comfort his family” he wrote

Sheikh Bello was a highly respected scholar who dedicated his life to serving Allah and humanity.

His exceptional insight into the Holy Quran, wisdom, and gift of interpretation provided comfort, guidance, and peace to many. President Tinubu praised Sheikh Bello’s commitment to prayers, studying, and meditation, which shaped his teachings and guided the destinies of many Muslims in Nigeria and beyond.

The President also acknowledged Sheikh Bello’s strong advocacy for charity, peace, and civil order. He frequently counselled leaders on the importance of trust, honesty, and fairness as cornerstones for good governance.

President Tinubu prayed for Allah to grant Sheikh Bello eternal rest and comfort his family.

He urged Nigerians to emulate the values Sheikh Bello upheld during his lifetime, saying “Sheikh Bello’s legacy will continue to inspire generations. Let us honor his memory by approximating the virtues he exemplified”.
