President Tinubu meets King Charles III to enhance Nigeria-UK relations

Nigeria President, Bola Tinubu, met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, September 12, 2024.

The meeting aimed to fortify the diplomatic ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to a statement released by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, on his verified X account on Thursday, the meeting highlighted the ongoing diplomatic ties and partnership between Nigeria and the UK.

The statement read, “President Bola Tinubu visited His Majesty, King Charles, at Buckingham Palace. The significant meeting highlighted the ongoing diplomatic ties and partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.”

The United Kingdom Royal Family also confirmed the visit, posting a photograph of the two leaders at Buckingham Palace with the caption, “πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ Yesterday, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria visited His Majesty at Buckingham Palace.”

The photo showed President Tinubu and King Charles III in a warm conversation, symbolizing the cordial relationship between the two nations.
