Police Arrest 14-year-old Housemaid, Joy Afekafe Over Murder of FUTMinna Lecturer

Joy Afekafe, who was paraded at Bosso Police Station earlier on Tuesday, confessed to killing the late Dr. (Mrs) Adefolalu Funmilayo who was a FUTMinna lecturer.

A shocking incident of culpable homicide involving Dr. MRS Funmilola Adefolalu, a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, unfolded on the 29th of October, 2023.

Friends and church members of the deceased made a harrowing discovery at her residence in the Gbaiko area of Minna.

Dr. Funmilayo’s absence and the inability to reach her phone raised concerns among her visitors.

Upon their arrival at her residence, they were met with a gruesome sight, Dr. Funmilayo Adefolalu laid lifeless in a pool of blood, bearing visible injuries on her body.

In response, the police dispatched operatives from the Bosso division to investigate the situation.

The grim discovery at the crime scene included two knives with bloodstains, suspected to be the weapon.
