Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has officially registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), receiving his party membership card on Sunday.

The registration exercise took place at the Government House in Jalingo and was witnessed by key political stakeholders, including the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, former Speaker Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah, and Hon. Danladi Baido, among others.

Speaking shortly after his registration, Governor Kefas said the decision to formally join the APC was taken in the best interest of governance and political stability in Taraba State. He emphasized the need for unity within the party to drive development and effective leadership across the state.

The governor also disclosed that plans for a grand defection ceremony, initially scheduled for November but postponed due to national security concerns, would be announced at a later date. According to him, completing his registration now enables him to fully participate in party activities ahead of the formal ceremony.
