Oyebanji hails Ekiti student for winning National energy essay competition

The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has commended Miss Faith Ayomide Ogundola, a student of Ekiti State University (EKSU) International College, for emerging as the overall best in the 2024 Energy Essay Competition organized by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

Ogundola, an SS2 student, clinched first place among over 500 participants nationwide, impressing judges with her essay on “How does the New Customer Protection Regulation (CPR 2023) Protect the Rights & Obligations of Electricity Customers?”

Governor Oyebanji expressed delight at the achievement, stating that his administration’s investment in education is yielding positive results.

He praised Ogundola for making Ekiti State proud and assured that his Government would continue to celebrate outstanding indigenes and provide opportunities for youths to showcase their talents.

The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, said in a statement that Oyebanji feels proud seeing Ekiti children and youths competing favorably and excelling nationally and globally.

The administration will continue to provide platforms for Ekiti youths to exhibit their talents, Oyebode added.
