The IIDM was established in response to President Bola Tinubu’s call for close monitoring of local governments’ handling of public funds and resources, following the Supreme Court’s ruling on financial autonomy.

Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, Chairman of the steering committee, highlighted the team’s mission and introduced the members to the Owa in council.

He also disclised that the IIDM founded in response to President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s request for close monitoring of local governments’ handling of public funds and resources in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling granting local governments financial autonomy.
