On-going Projects: Òyó will cooperate with FG – Gov Makinde

July 3, 2023 1 min read

Governor Seyi Makinde of Òyó State has declared that the change of government at the federal level will not negatively affect on-going projects in the state.

Makinde, who made the declaration at the weekend, had started some projects in his first term during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The change of baton at the federal level from Buhari to Tinubu, he avowed, would not hamper on-going undertakings, including the Ibadan Dry Port project.

According to him, the leadership of the country, led by President Tinubu, understood the benefits of developing the economic value chain.

“I think the change of government is even positive for Òyó State because we have a new administration at the federal level that understands what it is to develop the economic value chain.

“So, I think we will even cooperate more with the federal government, and that project will come on stream quicker than we were expecting,” he said.
