Obasanjo Commences Construction of Housing Estate in Abeokuta

Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has commenced new housing projects, known as ‘Olumo Court’, situated at 48/50 Aduke Ayorinde Street, Government Reservation Area(GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that Obasanjo, who is the Balogun of Owu, was accompanied to the housing project site by Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola and Towulade of Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye on inspection visit as construction works started.

The Olumo Court, aimed to boost socio-economic development, is designed to contain a studio, a single bedroom and double bedroom apartments with recreational facilities such as swimming pool, squash courts, coffee shops, meeting rooms, refuse chutes, internal roads and 24-hour security.

Penpushing further reports that as at the time of filing this report, construction has reached an advanced stage on the Olumo Court Estate, when Obasanjo and his entourage met site engineers, architects and operatives.

The officials who conducted the chief promoter of the project and his team round the site added that a high grade replica of the Olumo Court was to be started at a location not far from the disused premises of the defunct Top Beer Brewery at Olomore while the third of the estate was being sighted at the Sagamu-Abeokuta intersection.
