Nigeria to Host 2nd African School Games in 2027

Nigeria has officially secured the hosting rights for the second edition of the African School Games, set to take place in 2027.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for the country’s sports development and youth engagement initiatives. The African School Games, organized under the auspices of the African Union Sports Council (AUSC), bring together young athletes from across the continent to compete in various sporting disciplines.

The successful bid to host the games reflects Nigeria’s growing reputation as a hub for sports in Africa, as well as its commitment to nurturing talent at the grassroots level. The event is expected to boost local sports infrastructure, tourism, and national pride.

Details regarding the host city, dates, and event preparations will be unveiled in due course.
