Netanyahu Orders Immediate Strikes on Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the country’s military to launch immediate and powerful strikes on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Netanyahu directed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to act “without delay” following what officials described as fresh attacks by Hamas fighters in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

The Prime Minister’s Office said the decision followed a high-level security consultation after reports of ceasefire violations by Hamas.

The order marks a major escalation in tensions, threatening to collapse the fragile ceasefire agreement brokered earlier this month by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.

Israeli media report that the strikes will target Hamas positions believed to be responsible for the latest attacks, although the scope and timing of the operation remain unclear.

The latest confrontation comes amid renewed disputes over the return of hostages’ remains and humanitarian access in Gaza.

As of press time, there has been no official comment from Hamas or international mediators on the Israeli action.
