Super Eagles and Paris FC winger, Moses Simon, has been named in the French Ligue 1 Team of the Week following his outstanding performance in his team’s 1-0 away victory over AS Monaco at the weekend.

Simon was the standout performer for Paris FC, scoring the decisive goal that earned his side all three points against a resilient Monaco team. The Nigerian international capitalised on a defensive lapse midway through the second half, slotting home confidently to seal the win.

Beyond the goal, Simon was a constant menace down the flanks, using his pace, agility, and creativity to stretch Monaco’s defence and create several scoring opportunities for his teammates. His relentless energy and tactical discipline also earned him praise from analysts and fans alike.

The 29-year-old has been in fine form since the start of the season, contributing crucial goals and assists that have propelled Paris FC into the top half of the Ligue 1 table. His consistency has also strengthened his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most reliable wingers in European football.

Simon’s inclusion in the Ligue 1 Team of the Week further underscores his growing influence at Paris FC, where he joined earlier in the season. His performances are also being closely watched by Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, as Nigeria prepares for upcoming international fixtures.

With Paris FC set to face Olympique Lyon in their next league match, Simon will be looking to maintain his impressive form and continue his contribution to the team’s push for a European qualification spot.
