Many Feared Killed, Residents Flee as Suspected Herdsmen Attack Benue Community

Numerous villagers are feared dead, and several others injured, following an attack by suspected herdsmen on Ugbobi community in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.

Recall that residents have deserted their homes, leaving the attackers to raze their houses and loot food items.

A native of the community, Eric Amodu, lamented that the attack had been on for more than two hours now without any security operatives coming to challenge them.

He said, “It’s been 2 hours since this morning attack began and still no security forces has made any effort. Obvious conspiracy.”
