Many Feared Dead as Commercial Bus Plunges into Lagos Lagoon

Many persons have been feared dead after a commercial bus plunged into a lagoon on the Third Mainland Bridge on Wednesday.

The incident unfolded on Eid-el-Fitri, a day of celebration for Nigerian Muslims, marking the end of Ramadan.

Eyewitness Akinola Adeniyi recounted the harrowing event around 11:30 am, describing how a vehicle travelling from Iyana-Oworo to the Island suddenly plunged into the lagoon due to excessive speeding by the driver.
