Six individuals were arrested earlier today for openly urinating on the rail track in front of the Nigeria Army Shopping Complex, Arena, Oshodi.

The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced this on his X page on Saturday.

The arrests were made in a joint operation by law enforcement agencies and sanitation authorities, cracking down on indecent exposure and environmental violations.

He wrote, β€œ6 defaulters were earlier today arrested for open urination on rail track in front of Nigeria Army Shopping Complex, Arena, Oshodi.”

Open urination has long plagued public spaces, posing health risks and offending passersby.

This latest crackdown sends a strong message: such behavior will no longer be tolerated.

“We will not condone indecent exposure and environmental degradation,” said a spokesperson for the sanitation authority. “Today’s arrests demonstrate our commitment to maintaining public decency and hygiene.” Wahab stated.
