Lagos Seals Ajah Market Over Poor Waste Management

The Lagos State government, on Sunday, sealed the Ajah Market over poor waste management

This was made known by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Jubril Gawat, in a tweet via his profile on X (formerly Twitter).

The governor’s aide noted that the exercise was carried out by officials of the Lagos State Waste Management Agency, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps and the Environmental Task Force.

He added that the exercise also involved demolition of illegal structures.

The tweet read: “Ongoing: demolition of illegal street traders structures around the Ajah Jubilee Bridge.

“The combined team of Lagos State Waste Management Agency (@Lawma_gov), LASTMA @followlastma, LAGESC and Environmental Task Force also sealed the Ajah market today Sunday, November 5, 2023, in pursuant of the state’s declaration of zero tolerance ‘War on Waste.”
