Lagos Police Restore Normalcy in Iyana-Ipaja

The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command has restored normalcy in Iyana-Ipaja, following the unrest which occurred in the area on Tuesday, April 16.

Sharing photos via its X handle on Wednesday, April 17, the RRS confirmed that its operatives quelled the crisis in Iyana-Ipaja Motor Park.

It said: “Yesterday, our operatives, joined by policemen from divisions and Area Command quelled the crisis in Iyana-Ipaja Garage. Normalcy has since returned to the area.

“Today, our operatives are positioned in Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota and other strategic points in the Ssate in anticipation of Yoruba Nation’s agitators.

“Lagos is your city. If you see something, say something.”

On Tuesday, April 17, there was unrest in Iyana-Ipaja as rival gangs clashed which was due to an alleged ownership of Iyana-Ipaja garage.
