Lagos-Ibadan Rail Line: NRC Adds 2 New Stations, New Fares

December 3, 2023 1 min read

Residents of Agbado and Papalanto in Ifo and Ewekoro local government areas of Ogun State can now stay in their domains and board the Lagos-Ibadan train service.

This is because the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) has added the two new stations already completed to the Lagos-Ibadan rail line.

The stations are Lateef Jakande Station, Agbado and Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, Abeokuta.

As a result, the NRC has announced a slight change in the train arrival and departure schedule along Lagos-Ibadan route due to the addition of the two new stations.

Also the NRC has released new departure and arrival time for the route.

Also, the journey time has changed from 2:47hrs to 2:29hrs, meaning travellers will get to their destinations quicker.

These changes come with effect from December 1, 2023
