The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented Certificates of Return to winners of the recent by-elections held across various constituencies in Nigeria.

The presentation took place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja, where the Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, congratulated the newly elected lawmakers and urged them to serve with integrity and commitment to democratic values.

The by-elections, conducted to fill vacant seats in both state and federal legislatures, were declared free, fair, and credible by the electoral body. INEC noted that the exercise further demonstrated its resolve to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy through transparent electoral processes.

Recipients of the certificates expressed appreciation to voters for their mandate and pledged to deliver quality representation in line with their campaign promises.

Prof. Yakubu emphasized that INEC remains committed to continuous electoral reforms, assuring Nigerians that future elections will be more inclusive and technology-driven
