The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two key suspects, Ifeanyi Obiefunna and Joseph Agwu, for their involvement in a complex vehicle theft and vandalization syndicate.

The gang allegedly specializes in stealing vehicle brain boxes, tapping glasses, and other valuables from people’s vehicles.

Parading the suspects at the Command headquarters in Akure, State Commissioner of Police Abayomi Oladipo revealed that painstaking efforts led to the arrest of two additional syndicate members, Obinna Uyammadu, 32, and Onyeka Okoye, 38.

According to Oladipo, Joseph Agwu, who resides in Akure, confessed to selling second-hand wares, known as Okrika, and serving as an informant to notify other suspects to operate in the state and then return to Lagos.

The police commissioner assured that the suspects will face charges in court upon completion of the investigation.

This arrest is a significant breakthrough in tackling vehicle theft and vandalism in Ondo State, and the police are working to ensure that the suspects are brought to justice.

The arrested suspects are Ifeanyi Obiefunna, 36, Joseph Agwu, 43, Obinna Uyammadu, 32, and Onyeka Okoye, 38.

The Ondo State Police Command’s efforts to curb vehicle theft and vandalism send a strong message to potential criminals that such activities will not be tolerated in the state.
