GRV, the Yoruba-Hating, Non-Yoruba Speaking Aspirant Who Trampled on Yoruba Culture, Loses ADC Governorship Primary in Lagos

May 25, 2026 1 min read

Former Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), who openly disrespected Yoruba culture and tradition and cannot speak the Yoruba language, has lost the ADC governorship primary election in Lagos.

The man who once trampled on the sensibilities of Yoruba people, refused to identify with their heritage, and still expected to govern them has now been shown the door by his own party. His defeat is being celebrated by many who believe that leadership comes with respect for the culture and people of the land.
