Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has restated his administration’s resolve to complete the ongoing rehabilitation of the Abeokuta–Papalanto road, assuring residents and commuters that the project will be delivered within the stipulated timeframe.

Governor Abiodun, while giving the assurance, explained that work on the remaining sections of the road is progressing steadily. He stressed that the project is of critical importance, given the road’s role as a major link between the state capital and industrial corridors.

For years, motorists and residents have lamented the deplorable condition of the Abeokuta–Papalanto road, which has led to increased travel time, frequent breakdowns, and disruption of commercial activities. The governor noted that the rehabilitation will ease mobility, improve road safety, and stimulate economic growth across the state.

He further highlighted that the intervention aligns with his administration’s broader infrastructural development agenda, which prioritizes the rehabilitation of key roads across Ogun State to enhance connectivity, facilitate trade, and attract more investments.
