Fulani Militants Kill More Christians Than Boko Haram, ISIS Combined – US Report Reveals

May 30, 2026 1 min read

A new report from the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom has confirmed that Fulani militants caused more deaths than Boko Haram or ISIS over the past year, mostly targeting Christian farming communities in Nigeria.

Commenting on the report, Open Doors CEO Henrietta Blyth said, “My heart has been broken as I have heard stories from women and men who have seen their beloved family members butchered in front of them or carried off into a life of slavery.”

The report adds to growing international pressure on the Nigerian government to address the escalating violence against Christian communities.
