Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland and former Governor of Oyo State, has announced the passing of his wife, Tinuade Ladoja. She was 71 years old.

Tinuade Ladoja, a respected member of the Celestial Church of Christ’s Pastor-in-Council, died after a brief illness.

According to Adeola Oloko, media aide to former Governor Ladoja, “Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God repose her soul.”

The Celestial Church of Christ, Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, where Tinuade worshiped, confirmed her passing on Facebook, saying, “It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We submit to His will #farewell.”

Olukoya Benjamin, Head of the Media unit of the parish, shared that Tinuade had been hospitalized two days prior and passed away early morning. “She was a strong member of the women in council and recently received an award at their 40th anniversary.”

Victoria Omodudu, Chairperson of the Celestial Church Christ Women Council, paid tribute to Tinuade, saying, “Aunty mi, Egbon mi, eyi ga ju agbara mi lo. I was at your place on Saturday, 5th October, 2024. You were hale and hearty. Jo o, Olorun.”

The Ladoja family and the Celestial Church of Christ community mourn the loss of Tinuade Ladoja, a devoted wife, mother, and servant of God. May her soul rest in peace.
